A workspace aimed at the commerce sector to offer companies solutions based on real visual intelligence technologies to improve their training in digital transformation. The Pau Lab is interconnected with the GAMELabsNET network of Labs to offer solutions to companies in other sectors.
The lab is located within the walls of the ESC Business School Pau, the training center of the CCI Pau Béarn. The lab targets small and medium sized companies from the retail sector and franchised stores. Most of these companies have already started to think through their digital transformation but they still need to be advised on the relevant solution that can be implemented within their companies.
In addition, the lab is relevant to the tourism industry, such as restaurants, site managers or companies highlighting a part of their heritage. Last but not least, the local economy is structured by consortium organizations for each business segment. These business networks are managed by the CCI and are a very good relay for information to reach their members.
The showroom is divided into several corners representing different segments of the retail sector : grocery, fashion/clothing, beauty and home furnishing.
Each of the four corners presents a specific digitalized solution that can be implemented within a company. The solution is highlighted thanks to adequat furniture and products on which the solution can be visualised and tested.

This technology uses the shelf as a support for projection to describe and animate the products. The RFID Tags are simple stickers which can be put on any products. These stickers are detected through materials by the RFID readers. The detection and identification of the product leads to the start of a content or a video giving information about the product on external support: display, tablet, speakers, projection.
A projection film is used to do video projection on glass while keeping its transparency. It can be used on the shop windows to attract the attention of pedestrians and encourage them to look at the window or it can be installed inside a shop to improve customer comfort during a waiting period.
The interactive technology brings new capacities to interact with the visitors, usualy linked with a display, video projection.
This technology requires the use of a shelf and a control tablet. The customer selects specific criteria on the products he is interested in and these products are identified with a light.
It can be adapted for grocery or wine sector for instance which have many references.
It allows the customers to make an initial selection of products if there is a wait in the shop while waiting to be picked up by the professional.
This device allows shopowners to save time in labeling their products. They just have to enter the price and the information is deployed on all relevant labels.
This new display device brings the possibility to display 3d contents and/or floating contents. From a marketing standpoint this device is a good support for animating a corner and highlithing a product by attracting the attention of the customers.
Perfect technology to virtually visit a shop, to experiment new situations or to highlight a touristic place or company.
